Fed: Kosovars will fly despite court reprieve Ruddock

A charter flight will fly almost 180 Kosovar refugees from Australia tomorrow despite
another 81 today winning a High Court reprieve.

Immigration Minister PHILIP RUDDOCK'S spokesman says at this stage, tomorrow's charter
flight is still going ahead.

He says Mr RUDDOCK is disappointed by the added cost the Kosovars' court action to
stay will place on the Australian taxpayer.

The spokesman says the charter flight is costing half a million dollars.

If the court action is unsuccessful, it will require a further charter flight in the near future.

The government's given the High Court undertakings not to force the 81 home before
their case to stay continues on Monday.

But another 178 will be forced to leave Australia tomorrow because they are not included
in the court action.
