NSW:NSW oppn blames Labor for power prices

SYDNEY, Feb 21 AAP - NSW Opposition Leader Barry O'Farrell is blaming state and federal
Labor governments for expected increases in electricity prices.

In the 16 years that Labor had been in power in NSW, more than $15 billion had been
"ripped out of" the energy sector in "so-called dividends and tax equivalents", Mr O'Farrell
told ABC radio on Monday.

"As a result, electricity utilities haven't been able to invest to ensure the reliability
and the equipment in our electricity sector is up to scratch," he said.
